Job Description
The Java Developer - Senior is responsible for, but not limited to:
* Perform assigned programming projects of all sizes and levels of complexity as part of a team or independently
* Participate in the design, coding, unit testing, documenting changes required to continue to enhance a legacy system
* Work as part of a team of experienced developers in expanding the capability of the LTC Pharmacy
* Develop to the industry standard and perform code reviews to ensure that other developers are following standards
* Participate in design discussions and solution design sessions with business and software development teams to provide the required enhancements
* Perform periodic work on weekends and nights outside of the normal business hours to help support any production release or issue if the application development team is needed
Leading, mentoring and guiding junior employees on the team. Helping them develop their skills and work with them to better the teams end goal

Required Qualifications
* 7+ years of experience developing in a large-scale system environment or cloud-oriented environment
* 3+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot

Preferred Qualifications
* Exposure to implementation of Spring Data JPA, Maven, Jenkins, Gitlab, Splunk, and Selenium
* Experience working with off-shore vendors
Guiding, leading and mentoring juniors on the team to help expand their knowledge

* Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related technical field, or equivalent work experience
